The ๐˜Š๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ข๐˜ฅ๐˜ช๐˜ข๐˜ฏ ๐˜š๐˜ฐ๐˜ค๐˜ช๐˜ฆ๐˜ต๐˜บ ๐˜ง๐˜ฐ๐˜ณ ๐˜Š๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ค๐˜ข๐˜ญ ๐˜Œ๐˜ฏ๐˜จ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฆ๐˜ณ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ has announced Professor Jamal Chaouki as the recipient of the 2024 CSCHE - John R. Grace Award. It is with immense pleasure that we extend our heartfelt congratulations to Professor Chaouki for this well-deserved recognition.


Prof. Chaouki has been a full professor since 1995 at Polytechnique, Montrรฉal. He is an affiliated professor at UM6P. He published more than 500 articles in refereed journals and more than 320 in different reviewed proceedings and more than 450 other scientific articles and edited 34 books. He has 52 patents on different processes. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Engineering. He received many awards. He received the R. S. Jane Memorial Award in 2018 for exceptional achievement in the field of chemical engineering or industrial chemistry in Canada and last year the โ€œExcellence in Research and Innovation Awardsโ€ at Polytechnique. He also received the SCI Kalev Pugi Award and Honoris Genius 2021 Innovation from OIQ. He is a world-renowned consultant for at least 20 national and international companies. He is internationally recognized for his skills in process development and scale-up. He has created 5 start-ups with his students (the last are Pyrowave, NeoCTech, and PyroCycle). He is the Principal Chair Holder of Total Group in hydrodynamic modeling of multiphase processes at extreme conditions and Joined the Laboratory with OCP-UM6P. His work is mainly dedicated to developing processes from waste, biomass, and complex feedstocks to heat & power, fuels, and chemicals.
