Hassan got his technical university diploma in thermal and energy engineering at University Mohammed 5 of Rabat in 2014 and then received his bachelor in process, energy and environmental engineering from Ecole Nationale des Sciences Appliquées Agadir in Morocco in 2017. He acquired knowledge in unit operations, hydraulic, turbulence, HVAC, renewable energy, combustion and other related fields of process and energy engineering. Besides, he did 2 internships in technical services companies that enabled him to acquire skills in public lighting, production of hydrogen and design of photovoltaic pumping systems and 3 internships in industrial companies of beverage and mining. Then, he joined a consulting company in 2018 as energy and environmental engineer to provide services in air pollution, environmental impact assessment and energy efficiency. In 2019, he started his PhD in  Pearl group at Polytechnique Montréal in Canada.

Issam Dourid

Issam obtained his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Ecole Mohammadia d’Ingenieurs in 2020. He did his undergraduate end of study internship in Polytechnique Montreal under the supervision of Prof Jamal Chaouki, working on the control of microwave energy in chemical processes. He is currently a Master’s degree student in Computer Engineering Department at Polytechnique Montreal, working on the embedded control of microwave energy in chemical processes under the supervision of Prof Tarek Ould Bachir and Prof Jamal Chaouki.

I started my studies in preparatory classes for two years in “Lycée d’excellence”. Then I moved on to mohammadia school of engineers in 2017, at electrical engineering department. I was top of my class and got my B.Sc. degree in the control, automation, and industrial computing branch. My graduation project was in Polytechnique Montreal, under the supervision of Pr. Chaouki, Pr. Saydy and Mr. Chidami. The project was in coordination with Pyrowave inc. and my goal was to model a microwave reactor for polystyrene depolymerization and control the reflected wave. Beforehand, I had two internships in my first and second year. The projects were the following: • Development of an industrial test desk. Automatization of all the tasks as well as monitoring using a programmable logic controller, PowerFlex, and an HMI PannelView. • Feasibility study and implementation of a project based on renewable energy (Photovoltaic). Now I am continuing my studies in Polytechnique for Research Master’s degree in both computer science and chemical departments under the direction of Pr. Chaouki and Pr. Ould-Bachir.
